Mark Vandi Bawoh

Mark Bawoh is the Executive Director of Sierra Research Consultancy Firm (SRCF), and he provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership in delivering research, consultancy, monitoring and evaluation, data management, and capacity development services.

With over 18 years of professional experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, data management, and programme support, Mark has extensive experience managing complex assignments across the full project cycle from research design and methodology development to field data collection, quality assurance, analysis, reporting, validation, and dissemination.

As the firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Mark is responsible for ensuring that SRCF’s projects are implemented with the highest standards of professionalism, technical quality, accountability, and timely delivery. He leads multidisciplinary teams comprising researchers, consultants, field supervisors, enumerators, data analysts, and technical specialists, ensuring effective coordination and consistent quality throughout project implementation.

His project management approach is structured, collaborative, and results-oriented, with close attention to scope, timelines, budgets, risks, deliverables, and quality assurance. Mark provides strong leadership to SRCF’s technical and field teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and professional excellence.

Nyuma E. James

Nyuma E. James is an accomplished Research and Data Analytics professional with over 17 years of experience in strengthening operational efficiency, developing robust data systems, and transforming data into actionable insights for evidence-based decision-making across complex programmes.

He brings extensive expertise in research, data management, analytics, monitoring and evaluation, and digital data systems, with strong proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI, CommCare, KoboToolbox, and DHIS2.

His technical capabilities enable him to design and manage effective data systems, conduct advanced data analysis, develop interactive dashboards, and generate high-quality evidence to support strategic planning, programme performance, and organisational decision-making.

Beyond his technical expertise, James is an experienced trainer and capacity-building facilitator, with a strong ability to translate complex data and analytical concepts into practical, accessible knowledge. He works effectively with multidisciplinary teams, communicates clearly, and brings a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to every assignment.

Nthati Rose Lesaoana

Nthati Rose Lesaoana is a Senior Consultant specialising in research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), programme design and organisational development, with over 13 years of experience supporting governments, UN agencies, development partners, NGOs and private sector organisations across Africa.

Her expertise includes research design and methodology, baseline and evaluation studies, MEL systems, results frameworks, Theory of Change development, indicator and performance measurement, organisational assessments, institutional capacity strengthening and evidence generation for programme and policy improvement. She brings particular experience in gender equality, women’s empowerment, governance, youth development, employment and livelihoods, peacebuilding and social cohesion.

Nthati has contributed to complex development assignments involving organisations including UNDP Rwanda, TradeMark Africa, the Mastercard Foundation and GIZ. She currently serves as an Associate Consultant supporting UNDP Rwanda’s Resilience and Inclusive Transformation Portfolio Assessment and as a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert supporting the USD 19.5 million Mastercard Foundation-funded VIBE Programme implemented by TradeMark Africa.

She holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of the Western Cape. She has also completed a MEAL Essentials Certificate.

Tejan Kamara, Systems Developer at Sierra Research Consultancy Firm

Tejan Kamara

Tejan Kamara is the Systems Developer at Sierra Research Consultancy Firm (SRCF), supporting the design and development of digital systems for research, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, information management, and reporting.

He holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Information Systems with First-Class Honours from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM), University of Sierra Leone. With over six years of experience, Tejan has worked extensively with Statistics Sierra Leone (Stats SL) on national surveys and data programmes, undertaking roles in GIS, electronic data collection, field supervision, data quality assurance, information management, and large-scale technology deployment. His assignments have included the 2021 Mid-Term Population and Housing Census, Census of Business Establishments, Free Quality Education Evaluation Survey, and Sierra Leone Integrated Household Survey.

Tejan has also served as an M&E Focal Person for the ITC READY Salone Social Media Sales Channel (SMSC) Programme and ClimateLaunchpad Sierra Leone 2026, supporting monitoring, data management, results tracking, analysis, and reporting.

At SRCF, he applies his combined expertise in technology, data, and M&E to develop databases, digital data collection tools, dashboards, reporting systems, and web-based solutions that improve data quality, streamline project workflows, and support evidence-based decision-making.
